Name: Beemer Age: Adult Positive Status: FeLV Story: Beemer was found with her siblings under a dumpster on a cold wet night when she was about 6 weeks old. She is the shy one of the group. She is looking for a very special home, that is patient and willing to give her the time she needs to bring out the best in her. Dancing feathers and bouncy balls also make her happy. Note: Beemer is a carrier of the feline leukemia virus and needs a very special home. There are no symptoms to FeLV; therefore she looks and acts just as a regular kitty, but with so much more purrrr-sonality! Name: Belle Age: Adult Positive Status: FeLV Story: Belle belonged to a neighbor and had a great life. Last summer the neighbor died unexpectedly and Belle was left to take care of herself. The neighborhood felt bad for her and we all started taking care of her but she was an outdoor cat. On the cold nights, her finder would make a tent for her outside with lots of blankets and would even microwave a heating pad to keep her warm. She deserves so much better than this. Belle is now in foster care but needs a real home. She is the sweetest little girl and deserves a good home and lots of love. Yes, I am the fashion and entertainment consultant here at the Marley House. I am about 2-years-old and traveled here from Charlottesville, Va, from the SPCA there. I came in with a crew of about 12 or so that tested FeLV positive. We lived in crates in a huge storage area until I was transported to the Marley House to safety with 3 of my other purr boxes. The students took me to the vet and the vet surrendered me to Marley Fund. Named after a very beautiful, but distant country, because I felt like I was in Scandinavia after my explorative days on campus. I am safe now, but searching for a second chance with a very special person. Someone that will not discriminate because of my FeLV status. Who will take care of me, get to know me and love me.
